About DDI:

Up to 20% of the world’s diamonds are produced by 1.5 million artisanal miners in Africa and South America, working in 18 different countries. The work is hard, dirty and dangerous. Miners face exploitation and human rights abuse, and most live in extreme poverty.

The Diamond Development Initiative is working to transform artisanal and small-scale mining by bringing this largely unregulated informal sector into the formal economy in ways that benefit miners and their communities as well as regional and national economies. DDI, a registered charity in both Canada and the United States, works closely with governments, civil society and industry to further its objectives, and is an active participant in the Kimberley Process regulatory system for rough diamonds.

More information about DDI can be found on our website. Applications should be sent to edsearch@ddiglobal.orgClosing Date: June 3, 2019

We thank all interested applicants, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
