Ft. Lauderdale, FL—The Gordon Company is seeking Special Events Coordinators for freelance opportunities to conduct jewelry liquidation and/or promotion projects throughout the United States. A successful candidate must have extensive retail jewelry management, sales, and promotion experience. Accredited gemological certification and additional jewelry training is a plus. Above all, a candidate must be very customer and client-oriented, as well as have the ability to manage, train and supervise store staff. In addition to this, candidate must work closely with storeowner and key personnel in making decisions instrumental to the success of the project. He or she must be creative, entrepreneurial by nature and must be able to motivate others to excel. Candidates must possess very good computer skills and must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication. Once selected, he or she will go through an extensive training process. This position will require anywhere from eight to 16 weeks away from home per assignment, and all field personnel are required to be onsite for the entire term of each project.
