"It caused a lot of confusion in the marketplace," Husar said, as per the report. He added that customers began calling and visiting to ask if his store was closing as well.

Husar addressed the issue on social media, confirming his store remains open and announcing a giveaway of a 1.00-carat lab-created diamond to thank customers. The post encouraged followers to comment "Here to Stay."

According to the report, the two businesses are related by family. Husar said he is second cousins with Mike and Mary Husar, who own Husar's House of Fine Diamonds. That store, founded by Marvin Husar in 1951, expanded over the decades to 15,000 square feet before closing after 75 years when the owners retired.

Craig Husar Fine Diamonds & Jewelry Designs, located at 20100 W. Bluemound Road, is also a second-generation business. Husar's father, Lyle, became a watchmaker after buying his wife's engagement ring from Melvin Husar and later opened Husar's Tick Tock Shop, which evolved into the current store.

"I wanted to react positively," Husar said, per the report. "I wanted to turn it into something very positive."

The report noted that the business has been in its standalone Brookfield location for seven years and continues to grow with new brands and expanded offerings. "Our business growth has never been better," Husar said.

He added that his family's involvement will continue. "The next generation will likely be involved in the business," he said, as noted in the report. "It’s every business owner’s dream to have someone from the family who will want to take it over and keep it thriving."
