DAVID HARVEY JEWELERS ROBBED June 30, 2011 (0 comments)

DARIEN, CT—Three masked men with sledgehammers smashed display cases at David Harvey Jewelers Tuesday morning before making off with jewelry and watches, according to a report in the Daily Darien. Police said the trio came into the store at 11:08 a.m., smashed the cases and took the merchandise. No weapons were displayed, and the value of the stolen jewelry was not immediately known.

The three then left the store and got into a gray 1989 Toyota Camry driven by a fourth individual.The car was registered to a resident of Brooklyn, NY, said the paper, and it was not known whether the car had been reported as stolen.

The car was last seen entering I-95 southbound. The robbery is being investigated by the Darien Police Department's Detective Division; anyone with information is asked to call (203) 662-5330.
