The company will lease the first floor of The Elm at 21 College Ave. from property owner Bill Mitchell.

The relocation is planned for this summer, following the end of the company's current office lease and the need for a larger space due to the expansion of the corporate team.

The Elm, offering 10,972 square feet, was identified as the ideal solution by The Boulos Co. Although the exact cost of preparing the space for Day's offices remains undisclosed, it has been described as a significant investment.

Mitchell considers Day's Jewelers a high-quality tenant and commends the leadership of Joe Corey and Dave Gilman in driving the company's success.

As per a report, Mitchell has confirmed that the City Council chambers, First Congregational Church United Church of Christ, and its related Essentials Closet will continue to occupy the lower level of the building.

He views Day's Jewelers' decision to remain in downtown Waterville as a testament to their confidence in the area's future and an encouraging sign for other businesses considering the location.

Approximately 40 employees from various departments will transition to the new offices by August 1.
