Mount Vernon, OH--Dean's Jewelry recently broke ground for a new building after 16 years of being in the community, the Coshocton Tribune reports. The owners are siblings Noah Turner and Michelle Turner Ganz, the third generation of the family-owned business. It replace the current store that’s across the street.

Carol Grubaugh, executive director of the Knox County Chamber of Commerce, and Mount Vernon Mayor Matt Starr attended the groundbreaking.

Dean Turner founded the business and opened his first store in nearby Coshocton in 1965. Dean’s son, Tim, took over in 1991 and opened the original Mount Vernon location in 2007.

The new store is larger than the original, which makes it possible for the business to offer more services and more jewelry.
