Denver, CO—Jewelry designer John Atencio has hired Ashley Brown to head his wholesale and new business development division. Brown, a 26-year industry veteran with extensive experience in marketing and retail—including prior stints with the John Atencio brand—will be headquartered in Denver.  

Brown has been in the jewelry industry since 1994, starting at her father’s advertising agency, Brown+Partners, in Dallas, TX.She first joined the John Atencio team in 2008 as a sales associate and then managed several of the designer’s retail locations, including Flatiron Crossing, Larimer Square, and Clayton Lane in Colorado. In 2010, she moved to Lafayette, LA, as executive vice president of marketing and public relations with Stuller Inc., a position she held for nine years. 

John Atencio was a fixture in the designer jewelry sector for many years before shifting focus to his own retail galleries. He began re-entering the wholesale sector in 2018, and has been increasing his presence at trade shows before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
