Louisville, KY--Louisville’s Derby season is always one to watch, but this year, it glittered with deeper meaning and design. To mark the Kentucky Derby Museum’s 40th anniversary, the “Ruby Jubilee,” Doves by Doron Paloma and Davis Jewelers partnered for a standout collaboration.

The celebration kicked off at the Museum's annual Derby Ball. Ashley Davis Sigman, Vice President of Davis Jewelers and a KDM board member, served as Chairperson for the milestone year. "I absolutely love Derby season and the beautiful light it shines on Louisville," she shared in Davis Jewelers Magazine's summer issue. "The museum is the keeper of Derby history and gives you that feeling of excitement and pageantry every time you walk through its doors."

Wanting something truly special to mark the occasion, Sigman turned to Doron Paloma, creative director of Doves Jewelry. Paloma, who was present for the gala, unveiled a one-of-a-kind necklace designed exclusively for the event. Crafted in 18K yellow gold, rubies, and luminous mother-of-pearl, the necklace features a sculptural horse-head motif—a symbol of Derby elegance and Paloma's architectural roots.

"The Equestrian collection is inspired by my daughter's passion for horseback riding," he explained. "It captures both elegance and the spirit of movement."

The necklace was raffled off during the gala, with proceeds supporting the Kentucky Derby Museum's programs and initiatives. Paloma's presence extended beyond the gala to a dedicated Doves trunk show hosted at Davis Jewelers, where Derby-week guests previewed new pieces and celebrated a successful collaboration.
