Naperville, IL--Lisa Collins, the Lauren Rae Jewelry Boutique owner downtown, is preparing to close her business at the end of March. Collins, who changed the store's name from 'It's a Bling Thing' to 'Lauren Rae' in 2018, is retiring after almost five years of running the shop.

In a news report, the store owner cited the challenge of competing with online shopping and the need to invest more time in her family as reasons for her decision. Although she had briefly considered selling the business, Collins never aggressively marketed it and has not found a buyer.

Collins is not the only jewelry shop closing in downtown Naperville in March. Pandora, located on Main Street, is holding a moving sale through March 11 and will open in a new location at the Fox Valley Mall on Route 59 on March 12.

Despite the challenges of running a small business, Collins has enjoyed the experience and is grateful for the support she has received from the community. As she prepares to close the store, she was touched by the outpouring of letters and kind gestures from customers.

The Lauren Rae Jewelry Boutique will remain open until the end of March, so customers still have time to say goodbye and take advantage of the retirement sale. While the decision to close the business is bittersweet, Collins believes it is the right time to focus on her family. She looks forward to spending more time with her grandchildren and puppies.
