Rome, NY--Engelbert's Jewelers, located at 265 W. Dominick St., is marking 115 years in business with a special in-store event where customers can win discounts on their purchases.

"We're so excited to be celebrating 115 years in business this year," Sarah Engelbert Rushton, fourth-generation owner of Engelbert's, told a local news outlet. "As a thank you to our customers, we'll be celebrating all year long with specialty events where they can save substantially on their purchases."

The business has been run for more than 100 years by the same family, notes the report, adding that the establishment had always been in downtown Rome.

The store expanded in 1974 when the family opened another store in the Riverside Mall in Utica. Later, the store moved to its current location in the New Hartford Shopping Center.

Per the report, Sarah has been running the business for almost 25 years. She's a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America.
