Scotland, United Kingdom--Laings has signed a 15-year lease for its new flagship in the UK.
According to TJM, the famuly-run jewelry store submitted a planning application to the Glasgow City Council, highlighting its plans to revitalize Rowan House — a 19th-century development space for office and retail spaces on Buchanan Street.
The proposal includes a five million pounds investment to make significant updates to the outlet.
Laings' managing director, Stuart McDowell, stressed the importance of reimagining customer experience. “Last year, we announced our multi-layer expansion plan to transform our showrooms and workshops across the UK, reimagining the customer experience while ensuring traditional jewelers’ crafts are kept alive for generations to come," he said in the news report. With negotiations to secure Rowan House now complete and a 15-year lease agreed, we’re excited to be able to announce our plans to deliver a new retail format that captures the imagination of our clients and further enhance the luxury shopping experience in Glasgow.”
