Fifth Avenue Transforms with Artistic Garden Installation by Van Cleef & Arpels and Fifth Avenue Association May 07, 2024 (0 comments)
New York, NY--For the third consecutive year, Van Cleef & Arpels and the Fifth Avenue Association have collaborated to transform nine blocks of Fifth Avenue into a vibrant garden-themed art installation.
French artist Alexandre Benjamin Navet has designed a series of sculptures complemented by live floral arrangements.
The central hub of activity, The 550 Garden at 550 Madison Avenue, offers live performances, special treats, and children's activities throughout the month.
Per Van Cleef & Arpels, notable installations along Fifth Avenue include:
- The Bench between West 50th and 51st Streets and another between East 57th and 58th Streets, where visitors can relax and listen to music by Peter Von Poehl.
- The Petite Promenade between East 51st and 52nd Streets features an interactive installation, the Sonic Bloom flower, allowing audible communication across the promenade.
- The Grand Bench provides seating and floral viewing near West 52nd and East 54th Streets.
- The Swing near West 54th Street offers a playful photo opportunity within Navet's colorful designs.
- The Grand Arch at East 59th Street and The Fountain between West 57th and 58th Streets draw inspiration from classic spring gardens.
- The Promenade at East 58th Street features a 30-foot archway with floral arrangements and music by Peter Von Poehl.
