Five Sentenced to Prison for Manhattan Beach Jewelry Robbery September 03, 2024 (0 comments)

New York, NY--Five individuals have been sentenced to prison for their involvement in a smash-and-grab robbery at a jewelry store in Manhattan Beach earlier this year.

Per a report in KTLA, the Manhattan Beach Police Department reported that on March 22, armed suspects wielding hammers entered Pasha Fine Jewelry on Manhattan Beach Boulevard, smashed display cases, and stole merchandise before escaping in vehicles parked in a nearby alley.

Police tracked down and arrested seven individuals linked to the robbery, including five adults and two juveniles, recovering two handguns and stolen jewelry.

The report stated that the five adults accepted a plea bargain last Friday, agreeing to serve prison terms ranging from three to 16 years. Each was also issued a strike for their role in the crime.

The convicted adults were identified as Twuan Walker, 20, of Lancaster; Alan Daniels, 25, of Los Angeles; Eworth Sutherland, 24, of Los Angeles; Johndean Blocker, 24, of Los Angeles; and Jamil Edwards, 25, of Los Angeles.

The two 17-year-olds involved had their cases resolved through the juvenile court system.
