Four Arrested, More Sought in Smash-and-Grab Robbery at Modesto Jewelry Store May 25, 2025 (0 comments)

Modesto, CA--Four individuals have been arrested, and at least a dozen more remain at large following a smash-and-grab robbery at Sai Jewelers in Modesto.

According to the Modesto Police Department, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, when a red Mitsubishi vehicle rammed the store’s doors, allowing a group of suspects wearing hoodies, masks, and gloves to enter and steal jewelry.
Surveillance footage obtained by ABC10 shows approximately 20 people entering the business within 90 seconds.
Police reported that moments before the robbery, officers were investigating a stolen vehicle, which led to the arrest of four men. The suspects were found with items similar to those used in the robbery. As per the report, authorities believe the two incidents are connected and have linked the group to similar crimes in Oakland, Alameda County, and Beverly Hills.
The four arrested individuals were identified as Anton Crawford, 24, of Oakland; Gangster Lawson, 24, of El Cerrito; Nehemiah Miller, 21, of Valley Springs; and Nasir Blocker, 19, of Oakland.
Detectives are working to identify the remaining suspects caught on camera. Police have urged anyone with information to contact Detective Keyon Turner at turnerk@modestopd.com.
