Frank Adams Jewelers Highlights Century-Long Legacy on National Family Owned Business Day June 30, 2025 (0 comments)

Albany, NY--Frank Adams Jewelers showcased more than a century of family business history, tracing its evolution from a small watch repair operation to a prominent jewelry retailer with a new flagship store in Albany. The company shared its story in a recent Facebook post marking National Family Owned Business Day.
The post showcased that the business began in 1922 when Frank Adams opened his first jewelry boutique in downtown Albany, envisioning a legacy as “Albany’s Finest Jewelry Store.” By the 1930s, operations had moved to North Pearl Street.
In 1957, Frank’s son, David Adams, joined the business, and the store relocated to 58 North Pearl Street. During the 1970s, David continued leading the business and established a partnership with Rolex, which remains significant to the company’s success.
Per the post, in 1995, Frank Adams Jewelers moved from its historic downtown location to Stuyvesant Plaza, with Rochelle Adams joining the family business alongside her husband and daughter.
In 2021, the jeweler broke ground on its first freestanding location on Wolf Road. The business marked its centennial in 2022 and opened its new flagship at 144 Wolf Road in Albany in 2024.
