According to the announcement, the scholarship is open to female students enrolled in jewelry or metalsmithing programs at accredited institutions. It supports individuals pursuing careers in the jewelry industry, with a focus on those who plan to contribute to their communities through their work.
The 2025 application period ran from March 1 to April 30. Past recipients include Lisa, an artist and educator with degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her plans include using jewelry-making skills in volunteer programs abroad.
Gabriel & Co. operates the Gabriel Love Foundation, which funds multiple initiatives through sales of designated jewelry collections. Through the Stronger Together line, 100% of the proceeds are donated to Jewelers for Children (JFC) charity partners, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
CEO Jack Gabriel joined the JFC Board of Directors in 2017. Gabriel & Co. also supports DKMS in its bone marrow donor registration efforts and partners with Diamonds Do Good, a nonprofit focused on education in diamond-producing regions.
