Patek Philippe, Rolex, and Heuer Lead Miller & Miller Watch Auction June 17, 2025 (0 comments)
Ontario, Canada--A Patek Philippe Ref. 5146G wristwatch sold for CA$ 27,140 at Miller & Miller Auctions, Ltd.’s Historic & Luxury Watches sale held on June 5. The auction featured 67 lots of pocket and wristwatches, with most models of Swiss origin.
According to a news release, the top-selling watch was an 18k white gold Patek Philippe annual calendar model from the early 2000s. It included a self-winding Caliber 324 S movement, 39mm case, and a leather strap.
A 1971 Rolex Submariner Ref. 1680—nicknamed the “Red Sub”—sold for CA$18,880. It included a Rolex Oyster bracelet and an engraved caseback with the original owner’s name and the date 1972.
A Heuer Ref. 73443 Camaro “Champion Dial” chronograph sold for CA$16,520, exceeding its estimate. The 1970s model featured a cushion-shaped case, black racing strap, and the Champion Spark Plugs logo on the dial.
Per the release, the auction grossed CA$177,767, including an 18% buyer’s premium. A total of 120 bidders placed 1,138 online bids via Miller & Miller’s website and LiveAuctioneers.
Other notable sales included:
- A Patek Philippe 18k gold minute repeater pocket watch (circa 1914–1916), sold for CA$16,520.
- A Rolex GMT-Master II (Ref. 16710), produced around 2002, sold for CA$14,160.
- A Tag Heuer Ref. WP1443 ladies’ wristwatch, 18k yellow gold with diamond markers, sold for CA$9,440.
- A Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Geographic (Ref. 169.6.92) in platinum sold for CA$8,260.
- A 1994 Tudor Oysterdate “Big Block” chronograph (Ref. 79170) sold for CA$6,490.
