New York, NY--Danielle Miele of Gem Gossip has shared a set of jewelry storage recommendations based on her experience as a longtime collector.

In a Facebook post, Miele emphasized the importance of avoiding small jewelry boxes that often come with purchases, recommending instead that collectors discard them to prevent pieces from being misplaced or forgotten. She noted that dust pouches or zipper pouches can be kept as alternatives.

She also advised keeping jewelry visible and accessible, suggesting large cabinet-style boxes or tabletop displays to encourage daily wear and organization. According to Miele, larger storage solutions are preferable, as they allow for the growth of a collection without frequent system changes.

Additional recommendations include categorizing jewelry by type and color, which she said helps both organization and visual appeal. She also highlighted the use of small zip-lock bags to store items such as earring backs and chains, particularly useful when traveling.

Miele described the tips as drawn from her years of collecting jewelry, beginning in childhood.
