The program merges foundational bench jewelry technical knowledge with an emphasis on fostering creative expression and industry application.

A cornerstone of the GIA Graduate Jeweler Diploma Program is its reliance on proven methods from fine jewelry manufacturing and retail jewelry repair. This intensive, project-centric course is designed to equip students with the requisite skills to excel in contemporary jewelry.

Notably, in-course projects serve dual purposes: aiding learning and building a stellar portfolio that students can flaunt to prospective employers and clients at the onset of their professional journey.

Spanning 28 weeks, students will learn pivotal skills like sawing, piercing, forging, and advanced torch techniques, with soldering, annealing, and brazing garnering special focus.

The curriculum delves deep into gemstone setting, casting, wax carving, laser welding, metallurgy, and hand engraving. Three sessions are scheduled for 2024 and early 2025: January 22 – August 1; May 13 – November 21; and September 9, 2024 to April 7, 2025.
