In Memoriam: Jean Farmer, Farmer’s Jewelry February 13, 2019 (1 comment)
Lexington, KY—Jean Harbett Farmer, matriarch of Farmer’s Jewelry, an AGS store in Lexington, died January 27 at age 92.
Bill Farmer Jr., president of the company, said, “I worked with her six days a week for my entire jewelry career. She was tough, but so kind and, in the end, so frail. She was an independent woman business owner from the day Dad died in 1989.”
Preceded in death by her husband, William L. Farmer Sr., she is survived by a son, Bill Farmer Jr. (Kim), a daughter, Kristi Farmer Lykins (Brian), and three grandchildren, William "Will" Farmer III, Shelby Lykins, and Emma Lykins. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, William Tilford Harbett Jr. and Elsworth Lee Harbett.

“Please grieve with a smile. She would want it that way, and doing things her way became a specialty for all at Farmer's Jewelry,” says Bill Farmer Jr.
