New York, NY—The Jewelers Vigilance Committee’s annual January luncheon—traditionally the kickoff event to a weekend of festivities surrounding the 24 Karat Club Banquet in New York City—will be a virtual event this year and the entire jewelry industry is both invited and encouraged to participate.

The event will take place on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. In addition to being a forum to connect with the JVC community, the interactive event will recognize the strength and resilience of the industry, and celebrate JVC’s achievements as an organization. JVC will also be announcing several new initiatives to support the industry’s success into 2021 and beyond.

The JVC’s prestigious 2021 Stanley Schechter Award will be presented to John Kennedy, president of the Jewelers’ Security Alliance during the event, and will offer an hour of fun-filled surprises from industry leaders like Charles Stanley of Forevermark and Susan Jacques of GIA, plus online breakout rooms and networking and more.

It also will function as a fundraiser to help JVC raise funds for the important industry initiatives it brings to members and to help continue its mission of encouraging ethics and integrity within our industry, says Tiffany Stevens, JVC president and CEO.

“We’re excited to offer an event that will allow attendees to join together for an afternoon of celebration and networking as well as to honor someone deserving with our Stanley Schechter award.”
