AGS’ Second “Perfect Proposal Toolkit” Launches For Spring Proposal Season

Las Vegas, NV— Planning the perfect marriage proposal is a daunting task, let alone uttering the actual words “will you marry me?”

Diamond and gem experts American Gem Society and American Gem Society Laboratories have launched the second annual Perfect Proposal Toolkit, providing guidance on how to flawlessly pop the “big question.”

The online resource provides cheeky tips and recommendations for planning a memorable marriage proposal, and Toolkit visitors can enter to win a $2,500 American Gem Society gift card.

An online resource, The Perfect Proposal Toolkit was created to provide suggestions and inventive recommendations for both traditional and unconventional wedding proposals. The Toolkit keeps it easy by categorizing and providing tips for romantic, funny, adventurous, “2.0” and simple proposals. The site also provides expert advice on selecting the type of ring with which to propose, including what to look for when selecting the proper stones, settings, colors, sizes, and so forth.

See it here.

To provide plenty of time to plan a small or large scale proposal, the Perfect Proposal Toolkit went live for “proposal season.”  It launched February 1 in advance of Valentine’s Day, and will continue through March 20, which is recognized as National Proposal Day.

“While it is certain that we will not be able to alleviate the nerves that many will have when they actually ask the big question, the Perfect Proposal Toolkit is meant to be a great resource for providing creative and interactive proposal and ring buying ideas,” said Ruth Batson, CEO of American Gem Society and American Gem Society Laboratories. “It is exciting to launch the Toolkit for a second year and I hope that visitors take advantage of the tips, as well as enter a contest to win jewelry!”

Visitors to the Perfect Proposal Toolkit can enter to win a $2,500 gift card to use at any participating American Gem Society member jewelers. The Toolkit offers an easy to use “Find A Jeweler” feature that provides contact information on all 1,700 American Gem Society certified jewelers throughout the United States.

Israel Diamond Exchange Launches Rough Diamond Tender

Ramat Gan, Israel--The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) will be holding its very own rough diamond tender during the International Rough Diamond Week (IRDW) March 9-13, 2014. The IDE's rough diamond tender is open to all reputable diamond sellers who wish to submit a parcel of rough at a value not lower than $50, 000.

The establishment of the IDE's own rough diamond tender facility is yet another effort by the bourse to create more added value for the IDE membership and raise the banner of the bourse as one of the world's leading diamond businesses centers.

"Our endeavor is to increase the volume of rough diamond trading in Israel," said IDE deputy president Arnon Juwal, who heads the IRDW organizing committee. "Our tender is a rough diamond tender of consolidated market goods, from around the world, from melee to single stones, in all qualities."

Juwal said he is confident the tender will attract sellers and buyers from all centers. IDE president Shmuel Schnitzer said the March IRDW and the IDE rough diamond tender are all part of his administration's efforts to bring new, value-adding initiatives to the table. "My board and I want to take our country to the forefront of the world's mind when it talks and thinks about diamonds, including rough diamond trading."

The tender will be executed on behalf of IDE by Fusion/Hennig Tenders. Fusion's Raphael Bitterman has been appointed as the company's liaison to the IDE and will screen the tenders' participants, as well as process and evaluate the rough parcel submissions. A diverse series of rough diamond tenders will be held during the five-day event. Among the companies who will stage rough diamond tenders are Alrosa, De Beers Auction Sales, Rio Tinto Diamonds, Fusion/Hennig Tenders, and Tzoffey's.

For more information and submission of goods, contact Chani Fried at rough@fusionalternatives.com or call (+972-3) 652 0404.
