Jewelers for Children Highlights Initial Success of Round-Up Program and Invites Participation January 06, 2025 (0 comments)
New York, NY--Jewelers for Children (JFC) has launched a new fundraising initiative allowing jewelers to create a more significant impact with ease while enhancing customer engagement, the charitable organization said in a statement.
JFC’s Round-Up Program enables retailers and vendors to ask customers to round up their purchases to the next dollar at checkout, allowing for easy donations from 1 cent to 99 cents for JFC. Research shows that more than half of Americans have given to register roundups in the last year.
Retailers can run roundups through their existing point-of-sale (POS) software and then write a quarterly check to JFC. POS systems, such as Jewel360, a JFC partner, make roundups easy to install, JFC said.
“Jewelers for Children is one of the most impactful charities in the industry, which made them our number one choice when deciding who to partner with for our initial round-up donation offering,” said Nick Gurney, general manager of Jewel360. “The integration allows our merchants to enable donations with one click in their system and provides a simple way for consumers to donate to a great cause at the time of purchase.”
Brent Stern, president of Rogers Enterprises, reported bringing in over $2,000 in one month. “At Rogers & Hollands and Ashcroft & Oak, we are dedicated to supporting the communities where our stores are located. Through our new point-of-sale round-up program for Jewelers for Children, we can make a difference for children in need while reinforcing our commitment to giving back. This program empowers our customers to easily join us in supporting JFC, amplifying our collective impact. By participating in the round-up, customers help us demonstrate one of our company's core values: building relationships and family values by making a meaningful, accessible contribution to those who need it most.”
“Jewelers for Children is excited to give consumers a new way to improve the lives of children while working with the retailers and point-of-sale vendors we have always counted on as part of the JFC community,” said Sara Murphy, JFC executive director.
