According to a news release, the Jewelers of America (JA) and the GEM Awards Committee recognized Green for his long-standing contributions to the fine jewelry industry.

The GEM Awards highlight individuals and companies whose work has elevated the jewelry and watch sector. Green, who has spent decades leading his family’s jewelry business, was chosen for his commitment to the industry and active involvement in professional organizations. His leadership has extended to roles in numerous industry and community groups, including Jewelers of America and the Jewelers Mutual Group.

David J. Bonaparte, President of Jewelers of America, praised Green’s contributions, noting his influence on the success of the GEM Awards and his ongoing leadership. Bonaparte expressed gratitude for Green’s service to the industry and emphasized the significance of this recognition.

Green, a Boston College and Gemological Institute of America graduate, became the President and CEO of Lux Bond & Green in 1992, continuing the legacy of the company founded by his great-grandfather in 1898. Under his leadership, the business now operates five stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts and a concept store in West Hartford.
