Introduced eight years ago, the necklace features an oval pendant available in over 25 colors on a 14K gold-plated brass or silver chain. CEO Tom Nolan told Fast Company that its success is linked to customization, which appeals to younger customers seeking personalized options.

The necklace gained further traction last year during the "Hey, Elisa!" tour, which visited college campuses. The tour allowed students to customize their necklaces, creating buzz on TikTok and Instagram and solidifying its appeal, Fast Company reported.

Tweens, drawn to its role in the "preppy clean girl" style, represent a growing customer segment. Eleanor Woodsworth, 11, told Fast Company she saved $70 to purchase her first Elisa. To make products more accessible, the company offers discounts and promotions.

Fast Company noted that while tweens are a small part of the brand's audience, Kendra Scott appeals broadly, with 40% of its customers aged 45 and older. The brand balances affordability with higher-end collections, including fine and demi-fine jewelry, to cater to diverse budgets and tastes.

Despite shifting trends, Nolan told Fast Company that Elisa's classic design and broad appeal will sustain its success. The necklace remains a cornerstone of Kendra Scott's strategy to attract customers across generations.
