LAURA STANLEY NAMED RETAILER OF THE YEAR September 07, 2010 (0 comments)
Little Rock, AR—Congratulations to Laura V. Stanley of Stanley Jewelers and Gemologists, North Little Rock, Ar., who was named Retailer of the Year for 2010 by the Arkansas Jewelers Association. The organization chooses one retailer and one traveling salesperson each year to be honored. Robert G. Carroll of Jewelers Mutual Insurance was awarded Traveler of the Year.
“I’m so excited to win this award going into our 75th anniversary,” said Ms. Stanley. “Being Jeweler of the Year is a thrill, and I share the honor with everyone at Stanley’s. We are a team!”
A third generation jeweler, Stanley recently completed her masters in business administration at Webster University. She also is a Graduate Gemologist from the Gemological Institute of America and a Certified Gemologist Appraiser of the American Gem Society.
Stanley serves on the American Gem Society International Board of Directors, and chairs the International Guilds Committee; she also is a member of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee Executive Committee, the board of the Better Business Bureau of Arkansas, and is president of Pulaski County Court Appointed Special Advocates.
Stanley’s award is a standing family tradition, it seems. Loyd Stanley, her father, won the award in 1985, and Caroline Stanley, her sister, won in 1992.
