West Bloomfield, MI--Recently, many of my clients have asked me about summer trends to incorporate into their store. This summer, trends I am seeing are natural materials and shades of green.

Many clients are wanting to use more natural materials to make their store feel more comfortable and sustainable. Natural materials, like real wood, greenery, and stone, add texture and warmth to the store. Organic material adds a sense of architectural elements to your space.

Some ways you can use natural materials in your store is to incorporate them through accessories, furniture, flooring, beams, or a logo wall. See picture of stone logo wall at Chiccarines Diamonds & Jewelry in Collegeville, Ohio that I designed.

Green has been trending for a while and will continue to trend throughout the upcoming months. Shades of green represent a calm and soothing space. Green is a timeless color because it resembles nature and the earth. Shades of green will never go out of style. There are many ways you can incorporate green in your store to achieve a natural feel. For example, you can decorate using green accessories, furniture, pillows, or art. When designing for a timeless look, think of Rolex. Rolex is a high-end watch company that is known for their green accent wall, as well as their timeless watches. See this picture of how the green Rolex logo wall is incorporated in Williams Jewelers in Englewood, Colorado.

When designing this summer, using natural materials and shades of green will give your space an overall feeling of renewal. Organic finishes and shades of green go together. It’s important to remember you don’t have to spend a lot of money to achieve this fresh look.
