West Bloomfield, MI--Jewelry retail is all about the customer experience. When designing a new store, owners often ask about different types of ceilings they should design or remodel. A particularly interesting and effective approach that’s becoming more common is to use ceiling design to create a unique environment.

A vaulted ceiling creates the affect of a pointed ceiling, and makes a dramatic space overhead. Vaulted ceilings take a typical flat ceiling and turn it into an architectural advancement. This style of ceiling is also known as a cathedral ceiling. The terms “cathedral” and “vaulted” are used interchangeably.

Match Look of Your Store

Vaulted ceilings can be styled several ways to match the look of your store, whether that’s modern, rustic, industrial or traditional.

The softness of a cathedral ceiling can add the perfect touch to a modern structure. Vaulted ceilings are a wonderful way to incorporate reclaimed beams that you can see in the Williams Jewelers pictures below. The wood beams came from a local forest in Colorado and are indigenous to the area. While designing, owners Steve and Shaina Williams thought the wood vaulted ceiling would give their customers a touch and feeling of being home.
