New York, NY--In Huntington, New York, a jewelry store employee is accused of stealing over $125,000 of goods from clients.

According to a CBS report, Laura Bee, 53, was an employee at Ever Love Jewelers on Long Island, where she allegedly orchestrated the fraudulent scheme.

Authorities claim that Bee's methods of deceit involved issuing bounced checks, replacing authentic diamonds with counterfeit ones, and charging clients the full price for gems of inferior quality.

When CBS New York's team arrived at Ever Love Jewelers, they found a deserted storefront bearing a "for lease" sign.
