New York, NY--Marking its 20th year, Monica Rich Kosann's fine jewelry brand is expanding with new stores, increased retail partnerships, and product lines designed to connect with customers on a personal level. Kosann has long aimed to create jewelry that resonates with women as symbols of personal stories.

A report by WWD states that in October, the company opened a new 600-square-foot store in Michigan's Somerset Collection and remodeled its Bergdorf Goodman location in New York. Both moves underscore Kosann's strategic push for growth. Kosann refers to her two smaller New York shops as "jewel boxes," highlighting the focus on compact, curated spaces at Hudson Yards and Columbus Circle.

Per the report, co-owner Rod Kosann said the company is planning additional store expansions in the next three to five years. To support this, the brand is reconsidering its capital structure to meet the high costs of physical retail expansion. In Michigan, the brand's new store features its signature marigold color, with glass walls and a "locket bar" where customers can personalize their lockets with photos.

Monica Rich Kosann is also broadening its retail footprint beyond the U.S. The report noted that the brand has added Canadian luxury retailers Birks and Holt Renfrew to its wholesale network, which now spans about 150 stores, including new partnerships like Wilkes Bashford in Palo Alto, California.

Inspired by compass motifs, the brand's recent "Points North" collection introduces new gold and sterling silver designs. This collection joins a new line of diamond rings and reissued designs like the toggle bracelet and "continent" charm bracelet, bringing select pieces from the archives back into rotation.

The company is working with a U.K. branding firm to refresh its packaging and digital presence, with subtle shifts like the marigold color seen on the Troy store. Kosann noted in the report that while design elements may evolve, the brand's focus on meaningful jewelry remains unchanged.
