Moreno Valley, CA--On September 29, 1:30 p.m., the black male suspect pictured at left asked to be shown a bracelet. He had been shown the bracelet on a previous visit.
When the sales associate had the bracelet in hand, the suspect asked to see another bracelet. When that bracelet was in the suspect’s hands, he began to tell the sales associate the bad day he was having during his previous visit, and then ran from the store. Image Credit: JSA.
The suspect is described as late 20s to early 30s, 5 feet 6 inches, with tattoos all over, including one on his left jaw that says joseph. Recommendation
Criminals will make prior visits to a jewelry store before a crime for a variety of reasons. They could be casing the store to assess product and product location, store procedures, escape routes, cameras or to select the employee they believe will be their best victim.
A return visit may also be used to create confidence that they are a serious customer.
