This necklace, created at Sartor Hamann Jewelers in Lincoln, is more than just jewelry; it represents Larson's dedication and journey to her fourth Olympic Games.
According to a report in Nebraska Now, Larson approached the jewelers with the idea for the necklace, seeking a piece that would encapsulate her hard work and achievements.
Megan Burtle, the downtown sales manager at Sartor Hamann, expressed surprise and excitement at the opportunity to bring Larson's vision to life. Per the report, she described the project as one of her most enjoyable experiences at the store.
The report noted that the necklace was crafted by designer and jeweler Chris Eiland, who found personal significance in creating the piece. He noted that Larson wears it consistently, both during practice and games, underscoring its importance to her.
The necklace, featuring 57 diamonds, was completed in approximately four to five days of combined labor.
