Padis, Murphy Open New Stores August 31, 2020 (0 comments)
Napa, CA, and Whitehall, PA—Despite the coronavirus pandemic, two jewelers on opposite sides of the United States—Padis Jewelry in California and Murphy Jewelers in Pennsylvania—are celebrating new store openings. Padis Tasting Room and Jewelry is now open at 1400 First Street, in the Andaz Hotel in downtown Napa, CA. The jeweler, who has five stores, also is a vintner with headquarters in Napa: Padis Vineyards boasts 15 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes and a winery.
Across the country, Pennsylvania-based Murphy Jewelers is getting set to open a new store at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Allentown, PA. The mall complex, a Simon property, features a traditional enclosed mall and a newer, more upscale outdoor lifestyle center, where Murphy will be located next to an Apple store.
In 2010, Murphy Jewelers took over the empty Carlyle Jewelers space in The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, at the time the premier upscale shopping area in the Lehigh Valley. That store officially closed for the final time on Saturday, August 29, and the new store will open September 8, keeping the jeweler at three stores total. It will feature an expanded selection of jewelry, designer boutiques, on-site jewelry and watch repair, a “bridal bar,” and more, said Murphy’s Facebook page.
Both companies are operating with reduced capacity due to the coronavirus pandemic. Padis’s San Francisco location is by appointment due to COVID restrictions. Murphy Jewelers’ website lists all stores open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
