Long Beach, CA--Long Beach authorities are investigating a theft incident involving a man and a woman who reportedly walked out of McCarty’s Jewelry with a $20,000 Rolex watch without paying for it.

According to a report in KTLA, the incident occurred at the store located on the 5000 block of East 2nd Street around 6:03 p.m. on August 4.

Per the Long Beach Police Department, the suspects entered the store posing as customers. They allegedly seized the opportunity to take possession of the luxury watch before leaving the premises.

The specific manner in which the suspects acquired the watch remains unclear.

Police continue their investigation to identify and apprehend those responsible for the theft.
