Pine Bluff, AR--Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has appointed Sharri Jones from Sissy's Log Cabin to the Arkansas 250 Commission, tasked with organizing the state's participation in the U.S. celebration of its 250th anniversary of independence in 2026.

Per an update by The Pine Bluff Commercial, the commission consists of 16 members, including seven appointed by the governor, representatives from the Arkansas House and Senate, and leaders from various state departments and organizations.

Jones expressed her enthusiasm for the appointment, highlighting Arkansas's unique contributions to the upcoming national celebration. She emphasized her commitment to collaborating with fellow commission members on events and activities that reflect the state's spirit and resilience over the coming year.

The update noted that Sissy's Log Cabin, a family-owned jewelry store with six locations, has been involved in community service initiatives across Arkansas for over 50 years. The company often collaborates with charities and organizations to support community programs through awareness and fundraising efforts.
