PANTONE RELEASES SPRING 2013 FASHION COLOR TREND REPORT September 12, 2012 (0 comments)
New York, NY—Pantone Color Institute this week released its Fashion Color Trend Report for 2013, a candy-colored mix that Pantone executive director Leatrice Eiseman says is all about balancing vivid tones with shades that are toned down by hints of gray.
The palette for spring includes four shades of green, two blue, one lavender, one yellow, one blush/nude, a red and, again, orange. “Tangerine Tango” was named the 2012 Color of the Year when Pantone released its fall fashion color predictions in March, and it looks like orange will still be going strong into next spring. Still in the produce aisle, the inspirational fruit for spring is “Nectarine,” a softer take on the shade than the fiery orange-red of Tangerine Tango.
The Spring 2013 Pantone Fashion Color Report lists these as the top colors, clockwise from top left: Dusk Blue, Tender Shoots, Lemon Zest, Linen, Poppy Red, Nectarine, Monaco Blue, African Violet, Grayed Jade, and Emerald.
