Gulfport, MS--Pav and Broome Jewelers is celebrating its golden jubilee this year. Founded in 1973, the family-run business was started by brothers-in-law, a horologist and watchmaker, Mr. Pav, and a jeweler, Mr. Broome.

Currently managed by the founders' children, the transition to the new generation has been smooth and well-prepared. Gail Pav, the Sales Manager, reflects on this milestone in a report in WLOX. "They decided to go into business together," he says in the report. "We've taken up the lead, and everything has been in place for a long time for this transition to work seamlessly."

In celebration of their 50th anniversary, Pav and Broome are not just looking back at their success but also giving back to the community. Per the report, the company has announced initiatives supporting local organizations such as the Humane Society of South Mississippi and Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). These organizations work towards aiding children from challenging backgrounds and caring for needy animals. Gail Pav emphasizes the importance of these causes.

Pav and Broome are encouraging donations to these causes for their anniversary celebration. An interesting aspect of their fundraising initiative is the opportunity for donors to win a one-carat lab-created diamond. For every $20 donation, participants are entered into a weekly draw, running every Friday until December 29.
