Red Bank, N.J.--Alan Fisher's journey in the jewelry industry began not with gemstones but with gears and springs. As a teenager in Red Bank, he climbed the town's clock tower weekly, winding its mechanism. This hands-on experience at another local jeweler sparked his passion for opening A.H. Fisher Diamonds, a local mainstay now celebrating 40 years.

Per a report published in app by USA Today, Fisher honed his skills at A.I. Poland Jewelers and then ventured out on his own in 1983. Starting with a 1,200 sq ft store on Broad Street, his business gradually expanded, culminating in their current 1,600 sq ft location. Today, A.H. Fisher Diamonds offers a diverse selection, from contemporary fashion pieces to diamonds, including fancy yellow and pink varieties.

Beyond aesthetics, Fisher emphasizes exceptional customer service. "We're a family business, serving generations of families," he declares in the interview. This dedication shines through in their personalized approach, with either Alan or Karen Fisher always present to offer expert guidance.

Looking ahead, Fisher embraces the evolving jewelry industry. He recognizes the rise of lab-grown diamonds as an accessible alternative and acknowledges the shift towards online browsing. However, he firmly believes in the unique value of the brick-and-mortar experience.

"There's nothing like the personal, individualized service we provide; you can see and touch the actual gem right here and have it explained to you, and then we get to meet the recipient and support their need for wedding rings, resizing and any other products and services they require," he says in the interview.

Throughout 40 years, A.H. Fisher Diamonds has navigated challenges like economic fluctuations and competition. Fisher says their success is a simple formula: high-quality merchandise, competitive prices, and unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. As they celebrate their milestone anniversary, they invite the community to share in their joy, offering $250 off a $1,000 purchase through Valentine's Day.

For Fisher, the true reward lies in witnessing the happiness his jewels bring. "Jewelry gifts go on forever and can be passed down to others, which makes them priceless treasures in so many ways," he states.
