New York, NY--Amidst the rising prominence of AR Virtual Try-On (VTO) in the luxury retail landscape, Perfect Corp. takes another leap forward. The company announced its addition to the AR-driven jewelry solutions: a 2D-to-3D conversion tool allowing brands to effortlessly design realistic 3D virtual earring try-ons using just 2D images, sidelining the need for costly 3D modeling.

According to a news release, this offering employs algorithms to generate life-like virtual try-on SKUs. These come complete with lighting effects and motions. Brands upload 2D product images into Perfect Corp.'s console, refining earring renderings by adjusting various features such as positioning, size, texture, and dynamics like the dangling effect.

The release noted that this solution is set to redefine the jewelry sector by facilitating the rapid creation of impactful 3D virtual try-on, eliminating the need for extensive 3D asset creation resources.

Per the release, Perfect Corp.'s latest venture levels the playing field by making the state-of-the-art virtual try-on accessible even to brands without 3D model CAD files of their collections. This innovation removes the bottleneck of requiring 3D models, allowing brands to utilize flat images from their catalogs.

“At Perfect Corp., our mission is to solve brand and consumer pain points while democratizing access to the newest digital innovations for the retail space,” said Perfect Corp. CEO and Founder Alice Chang, per the report. “Our latest solution for the jewelry industry greatly simplifies the 3D VTO setup process for earrings, and will allow many jewelry retailers to seamlessly create immersive and personalized virtual try-on experiences without the need for expensive 3D modeling.”
