Pine Bluff Police Officer Fired After Crashing Into Sissy’s Log Cabin at Over 100 mph November 25, 2025 (0 comments)
Pine Bluff, AK--A Pine Bluff police officer has been terminated after authorities said he drove a patrol vehicle into Sissy's Log Cabin at more than 100 mph while intoxicated, according to the report by KATV.

Police told the outlet they arrived at the scene at about 1:15 a.m. and believe the crash happened shortly before that time. The officer, identified as Xavier Higgins, was off duty and driving on Faucette Road when he crossed Camden Road and hit the building. Video of the incident was shared with KATV by Jeremy Stratton, per the report.
Higgins joined the department on June 24, 2024. Pine Bluff Police confirmed in a press release that he has been fired.
He faces charges including Driving While Intoxicated, Careless and Prohibited Driving, and Failure to Obey a Stop Sign. Police said Higgins took a breathalyzer test and recorded a .17% blood alcohol concentration, more than twice the legal limit of .08%. The report noted he was traveling at more than 100 mph at the time of the crash.
The department said repairs to Sissy's Log Cabin are expected to take time, and officers will remain at the site around the clock until work is completed. Police confirmed the crash caused about $500,000 in damages, and the patrol vehicle was totaled, as per the report.
