The incident occurred during an ongoing stolen vehicle investigation. Officers tracked a stolen Acura TLX sedan from Vaughan to Billy Bishop Way and Wilson Avenue, just east of Allen Road.

Video footage released by the police shows five individuals exiting the sedan, some carrying sledgehammers and bags, approaching the store. The group appeared to smash the storefront window before retreating to the car. An undercover police truck then rammed the vehicle, blocking its escape. Officers quickly moved in to arrest the suspects.

According to CP24, all six youths, aged 16 to 17, face multiple charges, including robbery with a weapon and disguise with intent. One suspect also faces two counts of disobeying a court order. Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

One suspect remains at large, but police have not released further details. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

Classic Creations, the targeted jewelry store, has been robbed twice before in recent months, according to CP24. Sales director Daniel Freiberg said that during a previous incident in December, suspects broke in through a sliding door and smashed showcases with sledgehammers, stealing jewelry worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

YRP Const. James Dickson highlighted the concern over repeated incidents and advised business owners to stay alert and maintain security measures.
