Police Arrest Suspect in Smash-and-Grab Robbery at Lux, Bond, and Green June 03, 2024 (0 comments)
Westport, CT--Police have arrested a suspect in the May 9 smash-and-grab robbery at Lux, Bond, and Green in Westport. Masked robbers wielding sledgehammers shattered display cases and took jewelry in the afternoon robbery.

Authorities responded to the incident at 136 Main St. around 3:10 p.m. Employees reported that two masked and gloved individuals entered the store and began smashing display cases. The employees moved to the back of the store, avoiding interaction with the burglars.
The suspects fled south on Elm Street and left in a black BMW sedan, heading towards Fairfield via Post Road East.
Per a report by NBC, a 30-year-old man from Bridgeport has been arrested. He faces multiple charges, including first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, first-degree criminal mischief, and conspiracy to commit first-degree criminal mischief.
The report added that the suspect was arrested at Stamford Superior Court, where he was already in custody on unrelated charges, and is held on a $250,000 bond.
