Kwiat, William Goldberg Create Alliance For ASHOKA Collection
New York, NY—Kwiat and William Goldberg have joined in a strategic alliance to distribute William Goldberg’s proprietary diamond brand, the ASHOKA. Kwiat has been named the exclusive U.S. distributor, and will be designing and producing a collection of ASHOKA diamond jewelry for the U.S. market. The new collection will be sold exclusively through Kwiat and select luxury jewelers that carry Kwiat nationwide. Left: Kwiat ASHOKA diamond ring, set in platinum.
William Goldberg introduced the ASHOKA diamond in 1999. Named for a legendary Indian emperor, the ASHOKA was inspired by 41.37-ct D flawless diamond that was discovered in the Golconda region of India and cut by an unknown artist of remarkable skill.
The ASHOKA diamond features a unique faceting pattern combining the elegance of an emerald cut diamond with the brilliance of a cushion cut. Its signature elongated antique cushion cut and rounded corners are unique.
Both the Kwiat and Goldberg families are renowned for their extraordinary diamonds. Their shared principle of cutting diamonds for maximum brilliance and beauty is the cornerstone of this collaboration. The ASHOKA collection designed by Kwiat will include diamond engagement rings, wedding bands, necklaces, earrings and bracelets. The collection will debut in June 2016 at the Couture jewelry show in Las Vegas.

Leo Schachter Introduces New High-Margin Diamond Programs
New York, NY—Leo Schachter announces four new diamond programs designed to help retailers increase margins and differentiate their stores. They are: AGS Essentials, Private Label Bridal, Ideal By Schachter, and Schachter Select, a new retailer loyalty program. Details on all four programs will be introduced at the JCK Show in Las Vegas.
Private Label Bridal is designed to help jewelers differentiate themselves by promoting their own brand with a turnkey customized program. The jeweler’s name or logo is available directly in the product, including the diamond certificate. The store logo also is incorporated into the display system and on the advertising assets and materials. Additional benefit available via the Schachter Select program (more details below) include co-op advertising, free diamond events, POS tools, digital tools, and websites.
AGS Essentials is a core collection designed to help retailers provide customers with their diamond jewelry “essentials.” The collection is designed and priced for easy selling and good margins. Unique certificate properties allow for expanded private label and large format branding opportunities, and the collection is priced to fit the needs of any bridal jewelry initiative. AGS certification also builds high consumer confidence. Co-op opportunities are available.
New Ideal by Schachter Diamonds are competitively priced compared to other branded diamonds, so they offer greater gross margin potential, says the company. Available in round brilliant and princess shapes handcrafted by the master artisans at Leo Schachter, they’re designed to be one of the best-looking Ideal diamonds on the market. A turnkey marketing program includes display, POS materials, and sales training and private label opportunities also are available.
Lastly, Leo Schachter introduces Schachter Select, a new retailer loyalty program. Benefits include co-op rebates, free diamond events, website tools and applications, POS ease-of-use virtual inventory tools, and sales associate incentives.
Rina Limor Welcomes Spring with Fiorina Flower Jewelry Collection
New York, NY—Rina Limor introduces its new Fiorina collection of flower-inspired jewelry, featuring earrings, rings, and pendant necklaces inspired by the blossom of a wild rose, the five-petal flower that grows naturally and abundantly in fields. The flowers are hand carved from aquamarine, tourmaline, and peridot gemstones, and are combined with complementing drop shape gems of Morganite, blue topaz and doublet opals for a fresh, colorful look. Some styles are accented with diamonds and sapphires.
The designer says, “I am inspired by the natural beauty of wild roses, especially during the spring season. There’s that fresh new smell in the air, a sense of liveliness around us, and of course the addition of new color palettes. I am thrilled to add these fresh blooms to my jewelry collection with designs that enhance the natural beauty of flowers as a Spring style favorite.”
The collection accentuates current fashion trends like floral and lace and also complements Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity.
