Baltimore, MD--Radcliffe Jewelers, part of The 1916 Company, has opened a 26,000-square-foot showroom in Baltimore. Located on Reisterstown Road, the new store occupies a former Barnes & Noble and PNC Bank site, making it one of the largest watch and jewelry retail spaces in the U.S.

A report in Professional Jeweller notes that The 1916 Company was formed in 2023 after the merger of WatchBox, Govberg, Radcliffe, and Hyde Park Jewelers. While most stores are rebranding under the 1916 name, Radcliffe has kept its original name due to its deep ties to Baltimore, where it has operated since the early 1980s.

Per the report, the showroom features dedicated areas for Rolex, Tudor, Cartier, and several other luxury watch brands like Omega and Breitling. It also includes a "watch bar" for pre-owned watches, with a large collection of Rolex Certified Pre-Owned models. A Rolex-accredited workshop and a VIP lounge are part of the facility.

The showroom also houses high-end jewelry brands, including Chanel Fine Jewelry, David Yurman, and Mikimoto. Designed by local architect Eric Lewis, the store features lounge areas, concierge services, and event spaces. It uses natural materials such as marble and living walls.

John Shmerler, Global CEO of The 1916 Company, noted in the report that the new store reflects the company's focus on creating tailored customer experiences.

To mark the opening, Radcliffe Jewelers is hosting a special evening event at its new Pikesville store on Wednesday, October 9, at 1819 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville, MD 21208.
