Corinne Jewelers Announces Winner Of Junior Jeweler Contest
Toms River, NJ—Corinne Jewelers, The Diamond Source, has announced the winner of its Junior Jeweler competition. Carly Stopera, a fourth-grade student at North Dover Elementary School in Toms River, won the competition with her drawing depicting a dolphin leaping through sunlit waters. She designed the piece for her mother as a special Mother’s Day gift, and it was transformed into a sterling silver heart pendant (left) by the artisans at Corinne Jewelers.
Ryan Blumenthal, owner of Corinne Jewelers and Head Designer, Allyson Berlen, made the announcement at a school assembly May 4, where he also awarded a Junior Jeweler certificate to every student who entered the competition.
“When I first told the class about the competition, the kids were really excited about it. But when I came back to announce the winner, the level of excitement was off the charts,” Blumenthal said. “And at the store, the level of enthusiasm for the Junior Jeweler competition has been almost as high as it was at the school. For our designers, it was like the thrill they get from creating a great custom piece, times ten! I think they may have been as excited as the kids about the program. We can’t wait to do this again next year.”
Colleen McGrath, principal at North Dover Elementary, echoed Blumenthal’s observations. “Our students worked very hard on this project,” she said. “They were so excited about the competition, it wasn’t like class work for them. They put their hearts and all their artistic efforts into their creations, and I am incredibly proud of each and every one of them.”
Blumenthal intends to expand the Junior Jeweler program next year to include other local schools.

Levinson Jewelers Rocks The House At Museum Gala
Miami, FL—Levinson Jewelers was the official jewelry sponsor of the Young At Art Museum’s 4th Annual Gala “ROCK the House with YAA!” on April 24. The retailer donated a 2.18-carat diamond bow necklace set in white gold (retail, $12,000), for the gala’s raffle. The silent auction included seven pieces of jewelry from Levinson Jewelers as well.
Guests in attendance included Robin Levinson of Levinson Jewelers; John D’Amico, vice president of Levinson Jewelers/YAA’s Board of Directors; Mindy Shrago, CEO/Founder of Young At Art Museum; and David & Jodi Epstein and Ken & Eris Sandler, event co-chairs. The evening’s headliners Richie Supa (Grammy-winning songwriter and formerly with Aerosmith) and his special guests Hall of Famer Ricky Byrd (guitar, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts), Muddy Shews (bass, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Dukes) and Randi Fishenfeld (violin, Blue Fire Band) brought down the house with an hour-plus set of classic rock & roll and blues.
With more than 350 people in attendance, the event raised $231,000 for the Museum’s hands-on educational activities, which provide critical support for at-risk youth and families.
“Levinson Jewelers was proud to sponsor the event and to continue our support of the Museum and its outreach programs for kids,” said D’Amico.
