Florida Boutique Damaged By Fire

Naples, FL—Marissa Collections, a high-end clothing and jewelry boutique, was partially damaged by fire on September 7. The blaze was brought under control within 15 minutes by the City of Naples fire department. According to the Naples News, the fire is believed to have been electrical in nature or caused by clothing placed too close to display lights. The fire destroyed a 12 by 12-foot section of the 10,000 square-foot boutique, but the entire first floor of the two-story shop sustained smoke damage, said the report. Damage is estimated at about $100,000.

Store spokesperson Jay Hartington says they’ve finally been able to finish demolition of the areas damaged by the fire, and are feverishly working to get the store at least partially reopened in the next few weeks. Watch a video here.
