Robber Fires Shot in Struggle for Rolex Watch Near Rockefeller Center February 09, 2023 (0 comments)
New York, NY--An armed robbery near Rockefeller Center took an unexpected turn on Monday when a shot was fired during a struggle over a Rolex watch.
According to a report, the police stated that the robber approached the victim, wearing a blinged-out wristwatch, outside a Starbucks on W. 48th St. and Rockefeller Plaza at around 6:30 p.m.
The victim fought back when the suspect tried to snatch the watch from their wrist, and in the struggle, the robber fired off a shot, which did not hit anyone. Despite the altercation, the robber was able to make off with the watch and fled westbound on W. 48th St. on foot.
As stated in the report, the shooter was last seen wearing a red jacket with a fur collar and blue jeans and was still at large as of Monday evening.
