London, UK--The De Beers Group named Sandrine Conseiller chief executive officer of De Beers Brands. She replaces Marc Jacheet, who is leaving De Beers after fewer than two years in the role.

De Beers said Thursday that Conseiller will oversee the development of De Beers’ Brands and investment in existing and new diamond markets, WWD reports. She will join the group’s executive committee on Dec. 1.

Conseiller was previously with Maus Freres Brands Group, where she spent eight years, most recently as CEO of Aigle. Before that, she was group marketing and branding executive vice president for Lacoste.

She spent almost two decades in leadership roles at Unilever, spanning marketing, general management and audit disciplines across various geographies.

Conseiller is a recipient of the Chevalière de l’Ordre National du Mérite, or Knight of the French Republic, in recognition of promoting diversity in business while developing sustainability within the French industry.

As reported, Jacheet was handpicked by his predecessor Stephen Lussier, who stepped down from his executive roles last spring after 37 years at De Beers.

Before joining De Beers, Jacheet was president of Tiffany & Co. Europe, Middle East and Africa. Prior to that he served as president of Tiffany’s Asia Pacific region. He has also held many global marketing roles with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, Danone and Unilever in Europe and the U.S.
