Developed in collaboration with Sissy's Log Cabin, this program emphasizes practical learning and industry-relevant skills, preparing students for roles in jewelry design and repair.

The curriculum covers metalwork, gemstone setting, engraving, and design principles. Participants will receive training in traditional and contemporary jewelry-making methods and instruction in jewelry repair and restoration.

Participants will gain knowledge in gemology, learning to set various gemstones into jewelry settings. The design principles segment will help students conceptualize unique designs. Students can build confidence working with precious materials, gemstones, and intricate components through hands-on projects.

Per SEARK's announcement, the job outlook for bench jewelers is promising, with a projected 14% increase in employment opportunities from 2016 to 2026. Average wages in Arkansas for bench jewelers are $58,350 annually for the top 10%, $36,850 annually on average, and $17.72 hourly.
