Second Smash-and-Grab Robbery Hits DC Jewelry Store in Three Months May 22, 2024 (0 comments)

Washington DC, WA--D.C. police are investigating another smash-and-grab robbery on Connecticut Avenue NW.

According to an update on MPD's website, two individuals broke a glass window at Tiny Jewel Box on Saturday at about 2:10 p.m. and took a Patek Philippe watch worth over $50,000, fleeing in a car driven by a third person.

An NBC report stated that this incident follows a similar robbery on February 23, where a sledgehammer was used to smash the store's window, leading to the perpetrator taking nine Rolex watches valued at over $200,000.

MPD, in their release, requests anyone with information about these robberies to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to 50411.
